8th March : Women's Days Celebration at iPRIMED
iPRIMED Family celebrated Women's Day today. The Interns celebrated this day by depicting the occasion through decorating their classrooms around the theme. They also shared stories from their personal lives emphasizing the role of women at home and workplace. They also shared stories of some of the most successful women.
1st March
iPRIMED interns visited Asha Niketan, an NGO. This organization works towards improving the living standard of individuals with mental handicap and who are often rejected by family and society. The interns played games together with them. Interns also saw the various handicrafts prepared by them. It was an inspiring experience for our interns

One of our senior team members, attended the NASSCOM seminar on ‘Big Data Digital Analytics The next wave’, which is the new wave in the industry. On one hand , The growing global marketplaces has witnessed exponential growth in data volumes, created and consumed by a diverse cross-section of stakeholders and is posing problems for traditional storage and analytical platforms, on the other hand cloud computing, mobile and social while still being the favorite of every author - the concept of digital analytics encompasses them all. Deeper Understanding of Big Data and Digital Analytics is becoming critical and more important than ever.

23rd January
An agreement has been signed between Madhya Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation Ltd (MPSEDC) and iPRIMED Education Solutions Pvt Ltd. MPSEDC has awarded the project for the establishment and operation of IT/ITeS Skill Development Center at Mhow (Indore) in Madhya Pradesh to iPRIMED. This project would cater to the current and future needs of IT/ITeS industry in the region.
iPRIMED will be offering skill development programs focusing on the requirements of the IT/ITeS industry in Madhya Pradesh at large.
17th January: iPRIMED, proud to be a partner in a research conducted on ‘Managing the Millennials – study to determine competencies at play for the IT/ITeS industy’
iPRIMED, proud to be a partner in a research conducted on ‘Managing the Millennials – study to determine competencies at play for the IT/ITeS industy’. The study focuses on interaction between multiple generations at home and the workplace and addresses issues around ‘values, interpersonal skills, world views, ownership and work ethics’. Executive summary of the research presented at NASSCOM Diversity and Inclusion Summit, held on 17th January 2013 in Bangalore. iPRIMED is proud to be a co-sponsor of the event.
7th January: iPRIMED Interns in Hyderabad attend an intensive communication skills session(SLA)
iPRIMED Interns in Hyderabad(in focused groups), are attending an intensive communication skills session(SLA). This Initiative was taken after observing the interns’ diligence and consistent hard work. We believe that given the right guidance and favorable environment, they will meet the employer's expectations and industry requirements.

22nd December: iPRIMED Interns visit an Orphanage as CSR Initiative
It was a different experience for our Interns as they visited the Angel’s Home ( an orphanage). They played several games together and danced on many songs together. The interaction with the children there was a learning experience for each individual.
20th December: Christmas week at iPRIMED
iPRIMED Interns, celebrated Christmas week . The week was fun filled. All the classrooms were beautifully decorated with ‘Christmas’ as a theme. The final day of the week was celebrated with great enthusiasm by the interns.

24th November: Our Interns visit, an NGO which works towards Waste Management
In our day to day life, we face huge issues in disposal of waste and as a result of which our environment is no longer clean, which in turn causing health issues. This week as a part of our CSR initiative, our Interns visited an NGO named Saahas supported by BBMP which deals with Waste Management. Interns learnt to appreciate the entire process of segregating waste
7th November: iPRIMED-CPP Conference on Beyond Employability – Implications of Skill Development at Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore
iPRIMED in association with Centre for Public Policy, IIM-Bangalore organised the 1st Conference on “Beyond Employability – Implications of Skill Development” at Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. The conference aimed at addressing the challenges that government, corporations, educational institutes, NGOs, etc. face in implementing skill development programs; generating the ‘PULL’ and reaching the interiors of the country and taking a leap forward in the next decade. 31st October: iPRIMED has been invited as a member of the subgroup on Education under the Karnataka Regional Council of NASSCOM
Karnataka Regional Council of NASSCOM, reconstituted in the month of September has identified Education as one of the four focus areas. iPRIMED has been invited as a member of the subgroup on Education under the Karnataka Regional Council of NASSCOM, to address the regional needs of talent in Karnataka. iPRIMED and NASSCOM would work together in the field on Talent development and Education to bridge the various gaps that exist between academia and industry. We would together work towards scaling and building talent pipeline for both IT & BPO Industry.
29th October: iPRIMED Hyderabad Center starts Operations
Operations start at iPRIMED Hyderabad center. The footfalls at the Hyderabad center are increasing as we have lot of our interns from Hyderabad region. This is a milestone to be cherished!!!
18th October: iPRIMED at Bangalore IT.Biz at KTPO, Bangalore
iPRIMED participated in Bangalore IT Biz which was organized at KTPO, Bangalore. iPRIMED was invited by Govt. of Madhya Pradesh(Department of Information Technology) to be a part of same stall. We received a lot of positive response from the crowd present there.
13th October: Spark at Infosys
Interns went on a campus tour to Infosys, Bangalore today. They spent the entire day at the Infosys Campus. This program was about
• Building aspirations of interns
• Exposing the reach of IT & Engineering in daily lives.
• Exposing students to a world class environment and learning methodologies.
• Promoting gender sensitivity and exclusivity.
It was a learning experience of its kind for our Interns

14th September 2012: Navin meets the dignitaries and speakers at Emerging Kerala 2012 Global Connect Conference at Kochi
Navin had a discussion with the IT secretary at the Global Connect meet in Kochi. He was also interviewed by the local Doordarshan channel where he shared his thoughts on Emerging Kerala. He also shared his perspectives on various positive and negative aspects of growth in Kerala.

11th August 2012: CSR initiative
Team from iPRIMED(facilitators and Interns) visited "Asha Niketan" to spend time with some special and differently-abled individuals. Asha Niketan is an NGO that takes care of mentally challenged individuals who are otherwise capable in different ways. All of us, together, played small games sang songs for each other and danced to the tunes of Bollywood number. Towards the end we took a souvenir in the form of hand prints from the Asha Niketan Family. Paul(coordinator, Asha Niketan) shared several stories about the members with us.
10th August 2012:Guest Lecture
Mr. Bharadwaj from Infosys addressed our Interns today. He gave our interns a holistic view of telecom industry. He also talked about various testing scenarios. Talking about the software development life cycle he clarified several doubts that our interns had.
6th – 10th August 2012:Celebrating the spirit of Olympics at iPRIMED
Celebrating the spirit of Olympics at iPRIMED, we wen through various emotions and facets surrounding Olympics. Our interns did a lot of research and portrayed their perspectives towards Olympics through several discussion and presentation sessions. We had all the classrooms depicting different aspects of Olympics.The energy and enthusiasm was boundless at iPRIMED campus.

25th - 26th July 2012: Seema and Ashish visited NASSCOM HR Summit in Chennai.
The main agenda of the HR Summit was to bring various companies together under one roof for networking, sharing of thoughts/ideas and opportunity to interact with senior management of various companies. The representatives from iPRIMED interacted with various corporates(IT & ITeS) , training community and NASSCOM during the event. NASSCOM leaders like K.S Vishwanath (VP) and Capgemini spoke highly of iPRIMED. Ashish and Seema also discussed the potential engagement with other industry leaders. The fact that the product/offerings, the team and the leadership at iPRIMED is way above was re-iterated in the interactions during the Summit. Work done by iPRIMED on topics like Diversity , National Occupancy standard and IST helped the participants to actively participate in the forum. Various speakers shared their thoughts on topics like Changing Economic Environment , Rebranding BPO, Role of HR in the corporate world etc. Of all the speakers, Elango (Head – HR, Mphasis), Devdutt Patnaik (Chief Belief Officer - Future Group) and actor Anupam Kher stood out in the HR Summit.

Navin Kumar, CEO iPRIMED, addressed India’s emerging women leaders in “India – Women in Leadership” program at IIM, Bangalore on July 23, 2012. The session was conducted around Labor and Employment – Issues of skill development in a multidimensional program to equip women to play multiple roles. The aim of the program was to strengthen the capabilities of women leaders, enabling them to act as legislators, policy implementers, problem solvers, CEOs of their constituencies and party activists.

Elango R, Chief Human Resource Officer for Mphasis, conducted a workshop for the employees of iPRIMED on July 21, 2012. Well known author of the book “You Don’t Need a Godfather – Create Your Own Success” addressed the enthusiastic audience on some of the themes of his book and discussed real time experiences with them. Some of the topics of discussion were ‘building a brand for yourself, managing impressions, avoiding blaming the circumstances/others for one’s failure or inability to do something, playing the game to fail, learning to be assertive and saying ’no’, adhering to ethics and values’ and so on. The session was interesting, thought provoking, mesmerizing and had a lot of guidelines to lead ‘Life as a game of Cards’.

Seema Pandey and Monica Singh attended a power talk by Ms Anuradha Purohit, CEO of MBPL – which owns and operates Radio City, one of India’s leading FM radio networks. The talk which was conducted by IIM, Bangalore on 20th July, 2012 focused on Women Leadership. The Main theme of the talk was Acceptance, Adaptability and Achievement. Various perspectives of being a woman and not treating life as unfair, not being ashamed of asking for help, working hard, achieving what one wants, being assertive and celebrating her success were discussed/debated upon. Seema and Monica also got an opportunity to mingle with women leaders from various fields in this interactive session.
19th July 2012: Mr. Navin Kumar, CEO iPRIMED is a part of the Board of Labor Management Information System (LMIS)
Navin Kumar, CEO iPRIMED is a part of the Board of Labor Management Information System (LMIS). He attended one day conference organized by NSDC on July 19, 2012 in New Delhi for discussing real time situation and solution for forming Sector Skills Council in India. Navin represented the project board for IT/ITeS sector and contributed with his ideas and inputs on the formation of National Occupational Standards. iPRIMED along with some other prominent organizations have been chosen to represent IT/ITeS industry in this NSDC - NASSCOM initiative.
14th July 2012: Team Lunch
iPRIMED Family had a get together at Lunch organized at Bowring Institute. All the staff members came on the day with their families. It was fun and we all had a good time together.
7th July 2012: Visit to an NGO.
iPRIMED visited Mitra Jyothi-a non governmental organization and made new friends. This organization works towards inspiring and enabling the visually impaired. The day was fun filled. There was a session wherein we shared our experiences, sang songs as well.

This meet was organized to address issues related to the upgradation of the existing industrial paths and the need for uniform skill development
June 16th-July 6th: Clelebrations at iPRIMED
Celebration was all around the iPRIMED. Few weeks prior to the Foundation Day, iPRIMED Family took some time out every day to make sure they had loads of fun. In this marathon of celebrations, all teams in the family organized fun filled activities. Since the organizers kept changing, it kept us all on the toes guessing for what may be the next activity making this entire month fun filled roller-coaster ride.

25th May 2012: A CSR Initiative by iPRIMED interns
As a CSR initiative iPRIMED Interns played a series of skits to bring awareness around saving trees. In this skit they introduced the concept of -1 Technology. This concept emphasizes on the fact that keeping the size of font in a document to a sensible size helps in saving paper.
8th May 2012: An achievement by iPRIMED interns
Two of our interns, Kishlay and Ashwin become certified salesforce professioanls. This certification was cleared within a very short time frame exhibiting their amazing capability to learn.
1st May 2012: iPRIMED invited in Seminar organized at IIM on “Inclusive Education, Bridging the Widening Societal Disparities”
iPRIMED got an invitation from IIM, Bangalore to participate in a seminar on “Inclusive Education, Bridging he Widening Societal Disparities”. Shubhra Shailee, Manager – Marketing attended the seminar which was enlightening and gave some real glimpse of the real India. Some senior people from academia, bureaucracy, NGOs, World Bank and independents were present at the seminar and had healthy discussions on the impediments of education in India. The seminar was to identify the challenges, look into the issues of governance, come up with practical solutions and create some policies for bridging the disparities (urban – rural, economic, social) and making education more inclusive in India. The speakers gave some statistics on the challenges and also showed some success stories in achieving their dreams.

21st April 2012: iPRIMED Alumni Meet, Aluminati receives positive reviews from the stakeholders
Bangalore, April 23, 2012. Aluminati held on April 21, 2012 at Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore successfully saw a Panel Discussion on ‘Transforming Young Adults’.This was followed by an intense performance on transformation by world renowned dance troupe, Brahamari. The event was attended by approximately 350 participants. Our eminent panelists and corporate guests, along with our enlightened alumni together celebrated the spirit of enlightenment in Aluminati.

Chaya Kamath, Head BPO Training/Operations at iPRIMED addressed an enthusiastic and curious Press Conference today. She addressed the media on our 2nd Alumni Meet at IIM Bangalore on 21st April, 2012. This event celebrates the reunion of our interns, celebrating the spirit of Aluminati, that is, the reunion of our Enlightened Alumni. The press gave an overwhelming response. They showed curiosity and wanted to know more about the event. This is just a beginning of what is turning out to be a great evening for all of us. The media were taken through a successful journey of iPRIMED, which in turn created an eagerness to know why we exist and what do we do to be different. Who are our primed students? What courses do we offer them to make a difference to their career? The duration of the same and many more… Getting to know that we have a Panel Discussion honored by some of the most eminent personalities from both academia and corporate scheduled on the Alumni Meet, we were asked what’s in it for the youth in this Panel Discussion. We are dealing with the education space and are addressing the issues of ‘Transforming Young Adults’ This panel discussion revolves around the challenges we face during this journey of change and the issues of scalability and sustainability.

30th March: Internship Batch Celebrates
An internship batch graduates today. The students inaugurated the function by cutting a cake. They shared their memorable moments at iPRIMED. This day was more about sharing the experiences they gathered during their two months journey. The facilitators also shared their most cherished moments. This joy of sharing and caring has been rewarding for us all.
23rd March: A Capgemini Batch Graduates Today
A Capgemini batch graduated today. The function began with a mesmerizing invocation by the interns. This was followed by entertainment, where the staffs were involved in some games. The games were testing; however the fun quotient was quite high!! This, when culminated with the hilarious anchoring and jovial environment, made every moment cherishable.
21st March 2012: Deepak Padaki ( AVP, Infosys) addresses the Interns
Mr. Deepak Padki, AVP in Infosys addressed our Interns today. He began with his own story at Infosys, gradually turning the glimpses of his life and projecting the insights. These valuable practical insights covered a range of topics. Emphasizing on the importance of excelling at one field, he emphasized the fact that this helps us build connections when we have to learn a new concept altogether. He also brought to spotlight the importance of cultivating one's interest, which gives an extra edge to the understanding of the individual.

29th February, 2012: Implementing Technology, to improve governance system
Mr. Sridhar Pabbisetty, COO at Centre for Public Policy, IIM Bangalore addressed our interns today. He encouraged the interns to come up with innovative ways to implement technology, in order to improve our governance system. Bringing in examples from his experiences he emphasized that in today's world awareness is key to improving the governance system. According to him implementing technology in governance system would help enabling and empowering the citizens. He demonstrated the power of technology in increasing the efficiency of governance through the example of Karnataka Guarantee of Services to Citizens System.
27th-28th February: Our Interns Attend the Risk, Sustainability and Competitiveness conference held by IIMB partnering with Infosys.
Around 20 students were chosen to attend the conference held at Infosys. The main idea behind this was Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). This concept was new to the interns and they got an exposure to the CSR world and how various organizations strive to give back to the society. This was an interesting experience as the interns got to mingle with students, delegates, corporates from various parts of India and various countries.
24th February: iPRIMED attends Women Leadership Summit
One of our senior members, Ms. Seema Pandey attended Women Leadership Summit, organized by Silicon India on 24th Feb 2012. The discussion in the Summit was around “Women’s rudimentary challenges in Professional and Personal life”. The focus was more on women space in the work place. People from different walks of life shared their views and experiences. This was a great platform to meet people from various organizations and build relationship with them. The key opener of the Forum, Arundhati Raja, Actress and Art Director Jagriti, showed keen interest in iPRIMED.

Mr. Bhardwaj KP, Delivery Manager, Infosys addressed our interns today. He gave a holistic view of various functions of an organization. He talked to our interns about the different aspects of decision making related to career. He emphasized that one’s career path should be guided by one’s interests and ability and not be influenced by the market condition. He also shared some of key traits an employee must exhibit to excel in career.
23rd February-2nd March: Oscar Fever at iPRIMED
At iPRIMED we grab every opportunity to have fun, while we are still serious about our Work. With Oscar fever around the world, we couldn’t be immune to it either!! We celebrated Oscars in our way. Our interns researched on Oscars and they came up with some amazing stories about the people involved in Oscars. . To watch the glamorous Oscars ceremony is an experience in itself, however to get to know about incredible journey of these remarkable people is way far beyond.. At iPRIMED we sure admire the success, but we are more interested in the journey towards it, and that (amongst many others) differentiates us. We concluded the Oscar fever with a blast where every batch added their flavor to the moment.
11th February: Cricket at iPRIMED
At iPRIMED, we understand that sound mind resides in a healthy body, and all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. The iPRIMED team is playing Cricket every week. The enthusiasm in the playground is spellbinding. iPRIMED Cricket team is also doing a wonderful job even at the playground. We have excellent bowlers and batsmen, and we are working on our fielding as well.

11th January: Navin Kumar was one of the speakers at SAM-VRIDDHI
Navin Kumar was one of the speakers in the Seminar conducted by Bangalore Chamber of Industry and Commerce, held at Hotel Vivanta by Taj on 11th January, 2012. He spoke on the various aspects of System Software and the future of Information and Communication Technology. For him, in this age of devices, there should be an impetus to push system software in India. The message which Mr. Navin gave the industry was to move beyond lip service and invest in creating world class labs, building efficient faculty and training people to meet the demands of the market. He talked about blending technology with behavioral skills. He opined that high critical thinking, analytical ability, ambiguity, talking the customer’s language and building relationship with them are some of the skills which need to be developed to overcome the issues of developing system software.

NASSCOM CEO Cocktails Celebration – CEO of iPRIMED was invited for the all CEO meet at ITC Gardenia, over cocktails and snacks. This was hosted by UK Trade & Investment as a part of CEO networking.

Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR) days at iPRIMED – It is that time of the year, when we have to give it back to the society. iPRIMED has initiated the CSR week the highlight is to collect items for the less privileged in the form of cash and kind, which would be donated at various institutions

30th November:iPRIMED showcased its study at DNI Summit conducted by NASSCOM
iPRIMED along with CGI and NASSCOM conducted two survey on social demographics and generational impact on three people processes for “learning”, “engagement” and “performance”. Mr. Navin Kumar, CEO of iPrimed, was invited as a speaker and panelist for the workshop conducted by CGI. iPRIMED received close to 400 responses on the Generational Impact Survey. Various interesting patterns emerged from the study, which was presented by Mr. Navin Kumar at the NASSCOM SUMMIT. There were some interesting questions raised and conclusions drawn. This was very well received and appreciated at the Conference which was held at Leela Palace.
20th November:iPRIMED CEO was one of members of the Selection Committee for EPGP program at IIM-B
IIM-B conducted the final round of selection for Executive Post Graduate Program (EPGP) candidates. Mr. Navin Kumar was one of the members in the Selection Committee that interviewed the candidates.
7th November :A batch from Tier 1 IT Firm graduates
The pilot batch from a Tier 1 IT Firm graduated after 4 weeks of training at iPRIMED. A senior official from the company addressed the interns. This was followed by a small felicitation of interns by iPRIMED. The spirit among them was great and enthusiastic; and they left the premises on a high note.

25th October:Diwali Celebrations at iPRIMED 2011:A batch from Tier 1 IT Firm graduates
iPRIMED family celebrated the festival of lights, DIWALI, together. On this occasion, all the employees dressed in their respective ethnic wears, decorated the office and their workstations. Each individual’s desk depicted different favours of Diwali. As the day passed, the level of fun and excitement kept increasing.A small event was organized in the spirit of the festival. It started with lighting the lamp. This was followed by a magnificent classical dance by one of our employees. The iPRIMED family also played lots of games and shared snacks together on this colorful evening.

September:iPAT Assessment for a Tier 1 IT Firm
In the month of September, we conducted iPAT assessments (behavioral assessment) for a Tier 1 IT Company. As a part of the hiring process, we conducted assessments successfully over 30 colleges across India.
19th September:College students who underwent training at iPRIMED, get placed in Infosys
A milestone for US! One of the colleges we are working with attended campus placement of Infosys for the first time. It is our pleasure to announce that, 40% of selected students were trained by iPRIMED. College officials were delighted with the results. We too are! But we know that this is just a glimpse of what we can achieve together.
9th September:Inauguration of MBA program, in a renowned college by the CEO of iPRIMED
Mr. Navin Kumar along with a senior client member inaugurated the advent of MBA program in a College. More than thousand parents and students attended the function. Mr. Navin addressed them, emphasizing on the need to change our approach towards learning.

We have successfully completed the initial program in college and are very happy with the tremendous positive response we got from students. The improvement in the students on daily basis was encouraging for us. On the concluding day, a token of appreciation was offered to the students. We enjoyed the experience thoroughly and are thankful to the students to make the training sessions extremely interactive.

On behalf of National Skill Development Corporation ( NSDC), Edexcel conducted a two day workshop on Occupation Standards (OS). OS are an important activity of the Sector Skill Councils being formed under NSDC, to act as the leading facilitating body for the respective Sector, and would serve as the pivot of the interface with NVQF (National Vocation Qualification Framework).Along with 2 other people, Navin represented NASSCOM in this workshop. He shared his approach on creating OS which was accepted very well by the other SSCs along with Edexcel.

CapG batch 10 graduates today. The function began with lighting of the lamp. Facilitators addressed the students and shared their experiences. Students sang their favorite numbers. iPRIMED Staff too participated in the games organized in the function. It was fun filled day that every individual will cherish for a long time to come and also a memorable day as they would step into the corporate world.

A team from Georgetown University interviewed Navin on his views on the skills required by entry level employees in order to create leaders for the future – the balance between technical and soft skills, career progression etc.

It was a colourful and enthusiastic evening, when yet another CapG batch 9 graduated on 1st July.The graduation function started with lighting the lamp. The students were addressed by Navin (iPRIMED CEO) and Praveen (iPRIMED COO). After which the students sang a self composed humorous chorus.Staff members were also brought onto the stage to play games. The audience cheered for the electrifying performance of students in the fashion show. Praveen addressed the students and awarded the students with the certificates of completion of the program.

iPRIMED today gets 2 years younger. Our focused and persistent hard work towards changing lives is paying off. We have trained close to 1000 graduates and post graduates, who are working successfully in their respective fields of interest in top MNCs. The auspicious day started with lighting of the lamp around which we could see everyone shining in there ethnic wears. There was an aura of calm and composedness around. It was an unforgettable moment. We have worked hard and thus we party harder.It was fun to puff off the candles on the cake together. We organized a party for all of us where the iPRIMED Team had loads of fun and lunch together.Amidst all this fun, we know that the reward of good work done is more work. iPRIMED hosted an Alumni meet on the 13th of March, Sunday. There were about 250 members gathered. This event was mainly organized to welcome back our alumni to share their experiences and create a strong bond with them as years go by, and catch up with their friends and facilitators as they rekindled some of the memories of the long hours they spent at iPRIMED. Eminent guests from IT and ITeS companies were invited to share this moment of joy and encourage us. Apart from this lot of fun elements were added in the form of dance performances and Rock band to associate with the young audience.The event started with a welcome speech by Seema Pandey followed by the lighting of lamp. The lamp was lit by our guests Mr. PT Alexander, Centre Director BPO for Capgemini, Mr. Jnanesh Kumar, Vice President HR, Capgemini, Mr. Navin Kumar CEO of iPRIMED and Mr. Praveen Sinha COO of iPRIMED. Mr. PT Alexander and Jnanesh Kumar, spoke a few words of encouragement to the young audience. Many guests also joined the meet; they were from various organizations IT and ITeS organizations.Anindita Sarkar and Ashish Tyagi, have been associated with iPRIMED from the day of its inception. They took a “walk down the memory lane” and shared their experiences. They explained that iPRIMED Education Solutions is focused on enhancing workplace skills at the entry level. For an institute which had a very humble beginning from May, 2009 with only 5 employees and a model to intrinsically change India’s young generation and make them workplace ready, it has crossed a big milestone. More than 8 to 10 Alumni spoke to the audience and shared theirs experience and their takeaways from iPRIMED both informally and formally and how it has helped them in their careers now. After which there was break for high tea followed by Musical Extravaganza. The Musical evening had 2 programs led by the present iPRIMED interns and 1 by our Alumni followed by a professional rock band. The event culminated with a dinner where the alumni got more opportunity to network. All departed with a promise to be back for the event next year.

18th Feb 2011:A Touching Au revoir by CGI – II today
It started with an ice-breaker session, and turned out to be a roller coaster ride for each individual involved in the function. For the first time a surprise fashion show for the staff was organized. Each one in the staff was invited on the ramp. An electrifying dance performance, with a beautifully choreographed Fashion Show rocked the enthusiasm of every individual. Students touched our hearts when they expressed what iPrimed meant to them through some simple and beautiful words.
16th Feb 2011:Confident Auf wiedersehen by yet another batch of Capgemini
This time creativity and confidence was in the air. With power packed performances by the students, the audience at iPRIMED was mesmerized. Right from the melodious songs to the rocking dance performance, each kept adding to the life of the function. Students beautifully showcased attires of various nations of the world through an excellent Fashion Show. The day witnessed the lighter side of some of the facilitators as well when performed with students in a humorous skit.

It was a fun filled day when our testing batch graduated. Our interns sang songs and made the facilitators to sing various songs. The interns shared their experiences with the audience about their journey at iPRIMED. All the interns were of the opinion that iPRIMED is unique in their approach and has enriched them. Capgemini Batch 5 rocked iPRIMED when they presented an excellent Fashion Show depicting the styles of various countries. Most appreciated amongst them was the fashion show on Japanese culture. The songs sung were great. The games for the staff had amazing response for its high entertainment.
18th January:Final day at iPRIMED for CGI-1
The students started their graduation day by expressing their gratitude towards the facilitators and staff. Each intern affirmed their transformation at iPRIMED by sharing the changes in them. Students shared their experiences of sharing their learning’s with their friends. They noticed that they got positive acknowledgements from their peers when they shared their learning’s from iPRIMED .
3rd January:CapG 5 – Power Dressing Day - Impact with Style
The day began with a fierce competition amongst eight teams. Each aimed at outshining the others. A competition meant to make an impact on the minds, but with a style-A Power Dressing Competition. Each team was required not just to dress in formals, but also to carry themselves in a way that outperforms the rest. Contestants gave the judges real tough time to decide. With an edge over others on the grounds of their charisma, attitude and the capability to carry them well, Team 6 won the title of 'The Power Dressed Team’. Towards the end of the competition there was a brief informal discussion amongst the students and facilitators emphasizing the knowhow of carrying ourselves harmoniously with the attire.

30th December 2010:New Year Celebration.
iPRIMED rocked on the New Year’s Eve, when the students organized an entertaining, rib-tickling and glamorous celebration. The students sang their best songs. They performed with their musical instruments. Was the day all about the students? Nope! The staff threw their mind-blowing performances. Students added glamour to the celebration with a beautiful Fashion show. iPRIMED family came together on the party floor and made it a memorable day.
10th December 2010:Musical Friday Evening at iPRIMED.
Holiday season is on and it has started off with a fun filled musical evening by the iPRIMED interns. Various hit Kannada, Hindi and English numbers were sung. Some of the facilitators also sang and danced to various numbers. There was magic show by one of the interns. iPRIMED had arranged for some light refreshments to enhance the musical mood.

iPRIMED has doubled its space and the new wing which was under constructions from the last 2 months is fully functional now. There are 6 additional classrooms and a new pantry for the staff. The technical team has shifted to the new wing of iPRIMED

22nd November: One More Capgemini,Bangalore Batch Graduates today
It was graduation and farewell day for the Capgemini 3rd batch to be deployed at their Bangalore office. The batch hosted an electrifying fashion show for the other interns and iPRIMED staff. The fashion show depicted various cultures across the world. The batch was divided in 6 teams which showcased attire and cultures from USA, Japan, UK, France, South Africa and Canada. The batch also showcased individual talents, who sang melodious songs from various movies. Finally the team cut the cake and mementoes were given from iPRIMED to all the interns. The interns also reciprocated by giving gifts to the iPRIMED facilitators and staff.
4th November: Diwali Celebrations at iPRIMED
The festival season was celebrated with lot of fun and gaiety. The theme was ethnic wear and everyday the employees were seen in their festive colorful attire. Thursday the interns were left early and all the iPRIMED staffers got a goody bag as a token of appreciation and festival season

6th October 2010 – Top MNC Bank visits iPRIMED facility.
Head of HR, Head of Training and Head of Recruitment from a top MNC Bank visited the iPRIMED facility today. They wanted to explore collaboration opportunity with iPRIMED for hiring and training. They were also looking out for training their existing employees on various workplace skills that iPRIMED has designed. It was a half day workshop exploring various opportunities.

The Capgemini interns participated in the Mad-ads competition today. There were around 8 teams and most of them were spoofs on various advertisement. It was a hilarious event and competition. The team which performed the ‘mama mia’ drink ad won the first prize.

8th September: Teachers/Facilitators day celebrated by iPRIMED interns
The enthusiastic interns from the current 4 batches celebrated Teachers/ Facilitators day at iPRIMED today after class. The interns organised a special show for the facilitators and the iPRIMED staff members. The event started of with prayer by one of the interns. The students requested Navin and Praveen to address the gathering, followed by a cake cutting ceremony. Games were organised for the staff members like passing the parcel and whoever lost had to pay the penalty by either mimicking some actor, singing, staring without blinking the eyelids, various types of smiles, telling a joke etc. The students saw to the refreshments to all of them gathered and alongside there was a mimicry session by one of interns mimicking various Bollywood actors which made the crowd go in splits with laughter. The staff members were divided into two teams and they were made to play another game “dumb charades”. The winners got chocolates. The event came to an end by students presenting a memento to the iPRIMED management. It was an evening to be remembered!!!!!
7th September: CGI Visit
Learning and development team from CGI visited iPRIMED today. The CGI team evaluated our learning methodology. The learning and development team from CGI were in iPRIMED to explore partners to assist them in talent transformation. Through the course of the visit, the two member team walked through iPRIMED facility and also into the classroom, where they interacted with the students.
4th & 5th September: Times Job fair, Chennai
This was a two day job fair conducted by Times of India. iPRIMED set up a stall for recruitment of commerce graduates for Capgemini, Chennai. The selection procedure included an aptitude test, personal interview and HR round. On Saturday the 4th of September 33 candidates were interviewed and only 2 were selected, the trend continued on the second day of the job fair on Sunday, 5th of September where 29 candidates were interviewed and only 2 were selected.

13th & 14th August: Jobsphere for Capgemini held in Bangalore School of Business
The Bangalore School of Business hosted a jobfair called Jobsphere. It was a 2 day programme, where various companies participated. The event started in the morning with registration, followed by introduction by the Bangalore School of Business, about Jobsphere, Introduction to the participant companies, and the jobfair process. After the tea break there was presentation by the companies who participated in the jobfair. Post lunch interviews were held until 5pm. The next day also started of with the same procedure of registration and interviews. iPRIMED got a good response at the jobfair.
August:iPRIMED Facility Expansion underway
iPRIMED Facility expansion to 10,000 sq ft has started. The total facility would have a 250 seat capacity for students. There would be space for additional 5 classrooms and a convocation room. An additional seating arrangement for 30 staff members to be hired by the end of this year is already underway. There would also be a separate pantry area, a dormitory, a sports room and an extra area for gym.

iPRIMED COO, Mr Praveen Sinha attended the 7th NASSCOM HR Summit 2010 on 28 and 29 July, 2010 at Hotel Le Meridien, Chennai. The two day event showcased some of the best practices in talent management and explored key issues in talent engagement, attraction and retention that organizations face today. The various topics that were discussed were creative solutions to fully engage your talent, Ways to balance employee’s aspirations and align them with company’s objectives, Discuss the power that social media has unfurled, Comprehend the key issues faced today in the on-going war for talent, Having the USP to be the employer of choice, Planning succession strategies to ensure an on-going leadership development pipeline, Discovering retention plans to keep talent within your organization, Leveraging company’s development and training plan as a tool to build employee loyalty, Educating managers in effective talent management, Sharing experience with your peers and networking with experienced and successful practitioners. Besides this, the conference offered 6 workshops with topics ranging from HR and CEOs engaging on a strategic level to lessons from Bollywood; creating a democratic workplace to tightening your grip on life; managing talent acquisition to building a robust salary and compensation structure. Apart from the interesting workshop and topic, there were people from almost all the IT and ITes industry, as an exception there were some retail industry like Reliance attending the summit. Overall it was a good summit to network and understand the best practices in the industry.

The competition theme was around team work. The interns were divided into various teams and they had to create a collage based on team work. Judges thoroughly enjoyed looking at the creativity, learning and understanding of the team work. Trainees expressed that they enjoyed the entire process as it was packed with lots of learning.....

CEO & CTO of Husk Power Systems, Mr. Gyanesh Pandey delivers a motivational speech “You Can” to the iPRIMED interns. Husk Power Systems is lighting up rural villages of India mostly Bihar by generating electricity from rice husks. Gyanesh is highly featured and has been a speaker at TED conference held in Mysore. This was the first TED conference to be ever held in India.

A fashion show was conducted by Capgemini interns. The theme was they had to represent various attires of different countries. The trainee had to research on the lifestyles and culture of the natives of the country. They also had to prepare presentation on holiday celebrated in that geography, climate, events in the news, key features of business etiquette, gift one should carry for the host country and so on.... The trainee’s embraced the culture of various geographies and this was very evident...by watching trainees walking on the ramp, dressed up in the native attire. This event definitely was learning for the trainees on international exposure, since they would be working in MNCs and the culture would be varied.

India head for Capgemini Business Services, Mr. PT Alexander visited iPRIMED and addressed the interns today. He addressed the students about the work culture in Capgemini, expectations from the employees. The India head of Capgemini stressed on the importance of communication, as per Mr. Alexander accounts is common sense. He explained the flat organization structure of Capgemini as well as how one can grow in the organization.

26th June: iPRIMED CEO addressed the IIMB students.
iPRIMED CEO, Navin Kumar addressed the PGP 1 students at IIM, Bangalore. This session was a part of the students’ initiation into IIMB. The focus was on setting expectations, life after IIMB, career choices etc. There were about 375 students in the initial talk, later on the students were divided into 5 groups. These individual groups were addressed separately on hard work and smart work, tell me how to catch a fish and the importance of core skills.

The theme of the event was Bollywood Evening. This worked out to be fun alongside a teambuilding exercise. The interns were divided into teams and each teams danced to the tune of various hit bollywood numbers. The evening was dazzled by various stars like Amir Khan, Kareena Kapoor... the trainees enjoy this event....

17th June: Team Building Exercise
The Capgemini interns had a fun team building exercise today. The students were divided into various teams and they had to build tallest tower out of newspaper. The students put on their thinking caps and were working on various methods to make their team win. One team was building structures around a chair, while another team made one of the students stand and build the newspaper structure around him, so you could see a very creative atmosphere, where the students were trying to build the tallest tower with the newspaper. This tower was evaluated on architecture, appearance, height and stability.

The World Environment Day is celebrated on the 5th of June, 2010. Since June 5th happened to be on a Saturday, the interns decided to celebrate the same on the 7th of June, 2010. The world environment day is celebrated each year worldwide by various means like street rallies, bicycle parades, various competitions in school, tree planting, cleaning up campaigns etc. iPRIMED interns initiated this day by encouraging the facilitators to pot a plant each. There were discussions organized on the relevance of “Going Green”.

Capgemini has selected iPRIMED Education Solutions to hire, train and deploy finance and accounts personnel. iPRIMED and Capgemini jointly agree on the curriculum to be imparted on the students. The curriculum leverages the iPRIMED model under patent. For hiring recruits iPRIMED uses its proprietary 7 dimensional assessment model. Aptitude and domain knowledge is only one dimension.

Sucharita Eshwar and Kunal Kashyap from Nasscom visted iPRIMED today. The team came over to discuss various collaboration opportunities. Sucharita and Kunal spent almost an hour in the facility. The Nasscom team members were pleasantly surprised to see the infrastructure, the kind of people at iPRIMED and promised to put across a word to the government and also to explore various partnership opportunities.

iPRIMED CEO Navin Kumar, was part of the interview panel for the flagship PGP (MBA) program at IIMB for the academic year 2010-2011. The interview was for a regular 2 year full time MBA program. The interview session was a full day event.

iPRIMED meets the business delegation, led by the Crown Prince of Belgium, HRH Prince Philippe, on 26th March in Bangalore at hotel ITC Royal Gardenia. The IT delegation was a part of a 300-head business delegation led by the Crown Prince. This large incoming mission showcased the interest of Belgium in India, and the joint opportunities that may exist. Belgium and India have strong historic and trade links. A recent highlight was the bilateral Social Security Agreement that entered into force from 1 September 2009, a first for India. This unique agreement facilitates and reduces the cost of doing business, especially for the IT and ITeS industry in Belgium. Belgium has a strong ICT industry, combined with a unique geographical position in Europe. The networking sessions provided an excellent platform for Indian and Belgium companies to network and explore business opportunities. The objective of the delegation was for Business partnership, Collaboration toward local and global markets, Understanding the local market and Leveraging of skills. Mr. Navin Kumar attended and facilitated the working sessions for other global IT leaders at the WDHB seminar held in Berlin, Germany. The seminar lasted for 2 days and the theme was “Building Relationships”.
13th March: Free interview and evaluation session for IT job aspirants at iPRIMED, Electronics City Office.
iPRIMED launched a unique initiative called the “Free Interview Programme” for the benefit of fresh technical graduates today. There were coaching sessions held by DDI certified interviewers. There were actual interview sessions and discussion of reports. The technical graduates who attended these sessions were awarded certificates and were well received with participants coming from far off places like Tumkur, Peenya etc. It was a daylong event.

8th March: Women’s day at iPRIMED
iPRIMED celebrated women’s day today. All the women staff and the interns celebrated the day with cake cutting to mark the occasion. The men folk also joined the fun and frolic of the women’s day to support the occasion.

22nd February: AVP recruitment, Mahindra Satyam addresses iPRIMED interns
AVP recruitment for Mahindra Satyam, Mr. Chanakya Sehgal addressed iPRIMED interns on the “Recipe for success in the corporate world”. The AVP stated that one must be passionate about your job and to like what work you are doing. The AVP also gave some cricket examples and related them to work life. The session was an interactive one, where Mr. Chanakya asked a lot of questions to the students and vice versa.
19th, 20th & 21st February: Offsite for iPRIMED at Coonoor, Tamilnadu
The entire team of iPRIMED Education Solutions went to Coonoor, Tamilnadu for an offsite. The highlights of the entire 3 day session were as follows – Deliberations on the progress so far The Road ahead Team building events Fun n Frolic Awards & Recognitions The team was divided into 4 to 5 teams and each team was made to give ideas and do team presentations.
17th February: CEO of iPRIMED addresses the IIMB students on Careers, Transition and Leadership
Mr. Navin Kumar, CEO of iPRIMED Education Solutions addressed the IIMB students on Careers, Transition and Leadership today. Navin highlighted and explained the importance of core skills and ability to leverage the same in the right context. Navin also stressed on the point of learning various functions by doing it and that, “there is no short cut to success”. He also explained on various career transitions what would be constant. From the leadership perspective Navin explained the spirit of adventure, being open to new ideas or thoughts; and tolerance for ambiguity.
6th February: iPRIMED CEO addressed the Siliconindia Training Conference
iPRIMED CEO, Navin Kumar addressed on “Enhancing employability and career management in the IT industry” at the Siliconindia training conference. The highlights of the talk were “the world is ageing, whereas India as a nation is young. By 2020, 70% of the GDP will be from services, to meet the demand we need resources. India as a young nation has 3.5 million graduates to meet the demand; however they are not the right kind. The graduates do not have the right skills to get into the corporate life. For this reason we need to understand the reasons for low employability at entry level. The training institutes teach the necessary technological skills however they do not teach the students how to apply the same, as well as the necessary attributes required for a corporate life. iPRIMED focuses at learning and not on teaching – students pick up the necessary skills, where the core, content and direct skills are seamlessly interwoven.
5th February: Head HR, Capgemini Business Services, India addressed iPRIMED interns on the “traits and behaviours required for a successful Corporate Career”
Head HR Mr. Jnanesh Kumar of Capgemini Business Services, India visited iPRIMED toady. He addressed the interns on the traits and behaviour for a successful corporate career. The HR head explained the classic divide between what a fresher considers to be “interesting” and what an organization considers “important” very often do not match. Mr. Jnanesh Kumar also stated the importance of hard and smart work. The interns got a new insight from the HR Head on the global nature of business today and the role of the entry level personnel or juniors in the industry.

iPRIMED participated in the SiliconIndia job fair in Bangalore. iPRIMED set up a booth in the fair. The response was very good; our booth received more than 200 footfalls. Post the job fair we also got a lot of queries and some of them joined as interns.

18th December: iPRIMED CEO featured in the IIMB Magazine – winter 2009
iPRIMED CEO, Navin Kumar featured in the IIM Bangalore Alumni magazine – winter 2009. The magazine had “entrepreneurship” as its theme and Navin Kumar featured in the same. The feature reads as “With an idea aiming at enhancing employability of fresh graduates, Navin Kumar PGP ’99 has launched a new company named iPRIMED. Navin took to entrepreneurship after a successful career at Infosys”.

19th November: CEO of Infosys BPO addressed iPRIMED interns on “Need to Work Smart and Work Hard”
The day saw the interns of iPRIMED with a session on “Need to Work Smart and Work Hard”, addressed by Mr. Swaminathan Dandapani, the current CEO of Infosys BPO. Swami explained various scenarios to the interns on the BPO industry today, which has matured from providing a remote body to someone who works smart and hard. He also stated that the early years are the years to learn the ropes without many expectations. Mr. Swaminathan also gave an insight where the industry gives an opportunity to work/ run for various industries and functions – an opportunity which is difficult to get if you are working in the client organization. He was very happy with the innovative model that iPRIMED has come up with and expressed interest in trying out some of the models.
19th November: COO of INS Zoom addressed the interns on “QE Revolution in the IT space”.
The interns got to know about Quality Engineering Revolution in the IT space. The COO of INS Zoom Anuradha Biswas addressed the interns on Quality Engineering. She talked about her career and how she was able to reach her current position even though she started out with a disadvantage – the lack of an engineering degree. The students understood that there is a lot more to testing, than what is commonly known. Testing is more about common sense and orientation to details than about technology. The COO explained that quality engineering is a combination of quality assurance and quality control and the size of the industry runs in billions of dollars. India is just scratching the surface of the pie. The COO of INS Zoom also stressed “not to get carried away by peer pressure” and that it is important to love your job.
14th Novemebr: iPRIMED CEO called in as a panellist for EPGP interviews at IIM, Bangalore
iPRIMED CEO, Navin Kumar was called in as a panellist for the EPGP interview at IIM, Bangalore for the academic year 2010-2011. The EPGP program is a 1 year full time program for executives and managers, who have above 7 years of industry experience. It was a full day interview session and people working in various varied industries attended it.

30th October: HR Head of United Kingdom based British Telecom visited iPRIMED
HR head of UK based British Telecom; Sarah Reddington along with Priya Khullar visited iPRIMED Education Solutions. Both Sarah and Priya shared their perspectives on employability in the international context. Sarah explained that the employability issue at entry level is pervasive even in UK as many cultural factors have a role to play. The HR Head of British Telecom also mentioned that British Telecom has conducted various experiments in the areas of social learning. iPRIMED is also trying to introduce the same concept in some of the learning methodology
12th & 13th October: Seminar on employability in the IT industry conducted by iPRIMED
Graduates and engineering students along with their parents in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand took part in a seminar on employability conducted by iPRIMED Education Solutions. There were around 120 people who attended the seminar. 55 people took assessment and 5 people joined iPRIMED Education Solutions to do their internship program in Bangalore. In the seminar on employability iPRIMED explained the reason behind the need for having a skilled resource in the IT and ITes industry today. iPRIMED addressed the audience on the need to have organizations like iPRIMED which would help the students to be a part of this skilled workforce by learning various skills like the core or soft skills, content and direct skills. This would make the students workplace ready and hence better employability. Various IT and ITes companies have adopted the iPRIMED model of learning and imparting knowledge to their employees for enhancing work place skills. In the evening there was a press conference to spread awareness on employability in the IT and ITes industries. The newspapers that represented in the conference were The Telegraph, Prabhat Khabar, Dainik Jagran etc. We also started a local office in Jamshedpur now for any inquiries

15th September: 1st Internship Batch at iPRIMED
Today the 1st internship batch or the foundation batch started at iPRIMED. The batch strength is 17 and all of them are from engineering background. The interns have come from various parts of the country including Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand. It is quite a diverse batch as students come from various cities and around 50% of the batch is girls. The interns were quite impresses with the infrastructure and seating arrangements where they were provided with work like environment – very different from what they had seen in the past in their colleges and schools.
4th September: Launch of iPRIMED Assessment (iPAT)
iPRIMED conducted multi – dimensional assessment and interview for the first internship batch at their Electronic City office. There were around 47 students who took the assessment. The assessment comprised of 7 areas where aptitude/technology was one of the 7 dimensions. It was conducted in 3 steps which included a 90 minute written assessment followed by interviews. It almost took the entire day to complete all the assessments. The students found it interesting and they gave their feedback saying the assessment was interesting and very different from what they had seen before.

13th June: iPRIMED CEO addressed the re-orientation session for 2nd year IIMB students
The Post Graduate Program students from IIMB, in their second year had a re-orientation session as they were coming back from their internship program. In this context 3 alumni from the IIMB had been invited from different sectors and Navin Kumar, CEO of iPRIMED was one among them. There were more than 200 students attending the session. Navin shared some of the highlights of his career spanning decades and across multiple countries where he was engaged in various kinds of work. Navin addressed the students saying that in their early part of life to put down their head and focus on their work. Navin also stated that we learn a lot from adversities and necessity, like the recession now. Navin also explained that most big companies like Microsoft and Apple were started during recession.
